It can be hard to know what to ask your consultant or GP. There may also be the difficulty of them having a manner that suggests that you are bothering them, they may be uncomfortable talking about your situation, or all too often may want to keep you in the dark about the chances of recurrence.
It might be helpful to take someone with you who is not likely to be fazed by the situation.
